Rotary Club - Home & Garden Show
Protecting Central Florida Homes: Scott’s Roofing at the 2026 Home & Garden Show!
At Scott’s Roofing, based right here in Tavares, Florida, we believe that a strong roof is the foundation of a safe, comfortable home. We also believe in staying deeply connected with the vibrant communities we serve throughout Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties.
That’s why our team was so excited to participate as an exhibitor in the 15th Annual Home & Garden Show, held alongside the famous Chili Cookoff and Craft Beer Festival at Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages, FL!
Organized by the Rotary Club of The Villages, this year’s event was bigger and better than ever, welcoming thousands of local homeowners, families, and neighbors from across Central Florida. Here is a look back at our day, what we shared with attendees, and why community events like this mean so much to our team.
Bringing Roofing Expertise & Free Swag to Lake Sumter Landing
If you walked through the Home & Garden portion of the show on February 7th, you likely saw the Scott’s Roofing booth! As an official exhibitor, our goal was simple: provide local homeowners with straightforward, honest advice about protecting their homes from Central Florida’s intense sun, heavy rains, and seasonal storm activity.
Whether attendees had quick questions about roof repairs, roof replacement options, or storm damage inspections, our experts were on hand all day to chat and help out.
Of course, no expo visit is complete without some great freebies! True to Scott's Roofing tradition, we made sure nobody left our booth empty-handed. We gave away branded goodies, including:
- Custom Tote Bags for carrying all the show treats
- Reusable Cups to stay hydrated in the Florida sunshine
- Notepads & Pens/Pencils for taking home improvement notes
Big Smiles & Free Raffle Giveaways!
Beyond the free swag, we wanted to give attendees an extra treat. We hosted two exclusive free raffle giveaways at our booth!
It was a blast meeting so many residents from Tavares, The Villages, Lady Lake, Eustis, Mount Dora, and surrounding areas. We loved seeing the excitement as attendees entered the raffle throughout the day. Congratulations again to our lucky giveaway winners!
Supporting a Worthy Cause in Our Local Community
For Scott’s Roofing, participating in this event wasn’t just about talking roofs, it was about supporting a fantastic cause.
The Rotary Club of The Villages raises over $100,000 annually through this event. Proceeds go directly back into local charities, benefiting incredible organizations such as:
- Local food pantries & the Clean Kids Backpack Program
- Take Stock in Children & The Buffalo Scholarship Foundation
- Langley Health Services & the Lazarus Clinic
- Local youth programs including the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts
Knowing that our participation supports families and charitable causes right here in our backyard makes being a part of this event even more special.
